Welcome

Welcome to The Princess Academies.  We are an international organization for young ladies and their mothers.

All women are princesses, for they daughters of the Heavenly King. Princess Academies is not about being princesses. We are about preparing to become queens. This preparation is promoted through two avenues:

February 2010 Heart to Heart: Making Movies

This month's Hope Chest Journey with my daughter has moved into the realm of modern technology. Last month, I bought a Kodak zi6 (HD Camcorder) to digitally record classes, lectures, and workshops. This month I got the tripod and my husband surprised me with an 8 gig SDHC card.  Mary read the instructions and set up the tripod.  She recorded herself playing the piano and then recorded Monday's full moon, complete with her own commentary.

February 2010 Circle to Circle: Doll Making

In January, I started a new Pincess Circle in our home. We have a wide range of ages, but most of the girls are younger. The mothers in our circle chose Little House in the Big Woods as our January book. The Princess Principle theme was The Beauty and Grace of Gifts and Talents.  The Woman of Virtue was Minerva Teichert.  For our heart warming bee, we cut out rag dolls inspired by the ones in the book.
