February 2010 Heart to Heart: Making Movies

This month's Hope Chest Journey with my daughter has moved into the realm of modern technology. Last month, I bought a Kodak zi6 (HD Camcorder) to digitally record classes, lectures, and workshops. This month I got the tripod and my husband surprised me with an 8 gig SDHC card. Mary read the instructions and set up the tripod. She recorded herself playing the piano and then recorded Monday's full moon, complete with her own commentary.

August 2009 Heart to Heart- My Hope Chest Journey Blog

I created a blog last week, to blog my Hope Chest Journey with my daughters, Mary in particular. Mary and I sat down and she started listing all the things she wanted to learn. She stopped before telling me everything as she was afraid she might overwhelm me. She was literally bouncing with excitement. Not only does this mean she will learn a great many things, she will do it with me. We even added pictures!

About the time I was starting the first Princess Circle in my home, my oldest daughter, Julia, came home from college on a break and joined us. I had created this group for my eight year old Mary, and my seventeen year old Jennifer joined the luncheons as well.
