Book of the Month- A Little Princess: A Taste of Literature

Book of the Month- A Little Princess: A Taste of Literature

Created by Jennifer Elizabeth Walton

As we read these books each month we are striving to internalize the principles and lessons that we find and to strengthen our relationships as mothers and daughters through having an enjoyable and uplifting time. It is important to use as many of our senses as possible when trying to make connects and memories, and most people enjoy good food. So, in keeping with our desire to have Princess Academy Circle gatherings be luncheons, and due to the fact that the books we read usually mention at least one food or dish, we have a “Taste of Literature” section. This section is to help make your job even easier by providing you with at least one food or dish mentioned in the book of the month and a recipe or idea of how to use it.

Below are some foods from the A Little Princess, with recipes. The first one is our highlighted food/ dish from this months book:

Beef Sandwiches/sandwiches- In chapter 6 after Sara has befriended Becky she gives her some cake and she realizes how hungry Becky is, so she starts to buy different foods to give to her when they visit with each other and one of those foods was Beef Sandwiches.

Recipe: Here is my Teri Beef King sandwhich recipe.
