February 2010 Circle to Circle: Doll Making

In January, I started a new Pincess Circle in our home. We have a wide range of ages, but most of the girls are younger. The mothers in our circle chose Little House in the Big Woods as our January book. The Princess Principle theme was The Beauty and Grace of Gifts and Talents.  The Woman of Virtue was Minerva Teichert.  For our heart warming bee, we cut out rag dolls inspired by the ones in the book. Each family had chosen different doll patterns.  We meet in two weeks and we will share our dolls then.I will then update this post with a picture!

In February, our Westlake Princess Circle will be reading Victoria: May Blossom of Brittania England, 1829 by Anna Kirwan.  It is a historical fiction.  In the book we discovered that Victoria learned to sew sewing clothes for her dolls. So, next month for heart warming we will share clothes for our new ragdoll. We will be learning  super simple spring chic cake decorating at our luncheon, as well.

Please share with us what you are doing in your Princess Circle. We invite you to contact us through the "Contact Us" tab in the Navigation bar above.
