October 2009 Circle to Circle: The Circle Within the Circle

Within each Princess Circle of mothers, daughters, and women who come together, there are smaller circles, the circles within each home. These circles are made up of a mother and her daughter(s), and some may include more than two generations.  Both of these circles were designed to work together in harmony and enhance the experience of all who participate.

We designed the Hope Chest Journey: A Call to Beauty and Grace to strengthen and enrich the bond between mother and daughter, within tha family circle.  While mothers work with their daughters to help them prepare for their future, opportunities arise to communicate love, knowledge, experience, and faith.  The Book of the Month was designed to be a shared experience for mothers and daughters, to be read together and discussed as you go.  If a mother  ust gives the book to the daughter, the daughter may complete it and the mother may not, and both miss a great opportunity for personal growth, bonding, and insights that can bless both the mother and her daughter and thereby generations to come. 

We realize that many of you may not have a close maternal relationship growing up and feel inadequate or confused where to begin. That was one of the reasons we created the blog- My Hope Chest Journey. It was our hope that by many mothers sharing their journey that  this would inspire and encourage all of us. Many  are over scheduled and have a difficult time finding the time to journey together, much less read a book together.  When mothers prioritize this time together they send a message that they value their daughters.  Within the Royal Academe is the Book of the Month material, designed to assist mothers in journeying with their daughters and specifically in getting more out of the share reading time, as well as, to enhance the Hope Chest Journey.

What about the larger circle.  There are things that can happen there that can bless all participants.  We set meeting to be once a month, yet  Princess Circles can meet more often if they like.  The circle can enlarge options for learning ang growth as mothers share their diverse talents, skills, knowledge and support.  A group can strengthen friendships, as well as, give mothers, daughters, and women the opportunity to learn to speak in front of groups, learn hospitality, and an opportunity to practice good manners.
