Towne Crier: January 2010 Cricle to Circle

I recieved this letter recently and want to share it with you:

Donna,

I just wanted to share what has been happening with our Princess Academy here in W------, California.

We have been meeting for four months now, and it is a highlight of the month! There are five families with ten girls currently participating, and the girls range in ages from 4-11. However, the average age is six, so we've got a younger crowd.

You were so inspired to create this group! This has been such a great forum to inspire greatness! Just last week we met, and the hosting mother did something different: she had her husband dress up in his suit and announce each girl: "Princess Lydia, " etc. Then the mother and daughter "crowned" each princess. FUN! Next month it is at my home, so that will be fun.

We love discussing books, and I'm on the hunt for more appropriate younger books. Little Princess and Secret Garden were too hard, but Little House in the Book Woods was perfect! :) If you have any suggestions, please let me know. We're doing Pollyanna next month. Box Car Children is probably another month.

AND, every time I share this idea with women, and the women are in tune, the Spirit sends shivers up my body. One of the mothers in our group has loved this idea so much that she has created a monthly meeting in Young Women. They've met twice and it's going REALLY well! The girls are being responsible and are learning a lot, and are LOVING it! :) That mother bought the thesis, so she has a good vision.

My eldest daughter, age ten, doesn't have anyone her age and so I have to create another group for her. Also, she needs to be reading more advanced books.

Donna, thank you for sharing your vision! Truly this is God's work! Thank you, thank you, thank you!
